Do you believe?
What is it to believe? People believe in God, they pray and seek comfort in a higher spirit. People believe in destiny and in miracles, they believe in science and in the logics of life.
We believe in the things that will bring us comfort, that makes it possible to carry on when things doesn't go the way we wanted it to. When i was little, i uset to pray to God, but only when i wanted something.
"Dear God, give me those football-shoes i want, please, amen"
Today, when i think about it, I am truly ashamed of myself. If you want something that can be bought for money, then work for it. It will feel much better when you get the wanted thing, if you know that you have earned it on your own. When i got older, I prayed when i needed it. When times were so hard that I had no other idea where to go. That, on the other hand, is nothing to be ashamed of. I needed it to have the strength to carry on forward, and i did.
Do i believe in God? I don't know, it is to much for me to think about, i can't grasp the question, it is to big, i am nothing but a human.
This is not about God, it is about to believe, it is not a religious text.
Tonight, when I looked myself in the mirror, I felt sadness. I can't understand why, bet the emptiness I feel sometimes hurts. And I realize that it is not about someone else, it is about myself. Only you can make your own life better, you just need the right tools to do so. It is not about other people, a human with a thousand friends and the perfect relationship can feel emptiness too, it is all in his own mind.
The quest in life is to understand what you need to do to make it filled with purpose.
Time to sleep, tomorrow is one important day, and i fear the outcome of it. Good night.
